The Best Chemical Free Shampoo’s

Walking through Boots, Tesco, Superdrug etc it’s hard to not be enticed by the deals on all the haircare products – 2 for 1 this and buy 1 get one free that. But the chemicals in these products are so harsh on your hair and scalp that you really should look into alternative products. Take a look at my other blog post – The Reality Of High Street Hair Products and find out just how much damage they’re actually causing!

It’s no secret that salon hair products are a lot better for your hair in every way but I completely understand that some people just can’t afford to spend £50 a time on a shampoo and conditioner from a salon that will last around 3/4/5 months, but there are so many other options available!

I’ve listed below the shampoo and conditioners I use and also the ones that are a lot less damaging for your hair that you can find for a lot less money.

Kind Natured – Super Shine Argan & Kukui Oil Shampoo 250ml – £4.99

This product is 97% natural and is free from sulphate, parabens and petrochemicals. There’s a conditioner to this product too which retails at the same price, so for £9.98 you can grab this set! The only downfall to this product is that I can’t seem to find if it’s cruelty free, you’d think it was from the name and packaging but you can never be 100 percent.

Faith In Nature – Coconut Shampoo 400ml – £5.50

Vegans, this ones for you! 100 percent cruelty free, has no nasty chemicals, and look at the price tag! Apparently this shampoo doesn’t laver up too well, but I’ve found that if you do the usual two shampoo’s with any sulphate free wash, they tend to get foamier on the second wash. You can buy this on amazon and since it’s 400ml it should last you a fair amount of time.

The Body Shop – Rainforest Moisture Shampoo 250ml – £5.50

This shampoo contains no sulphates and no silicone leaving your hair healthy and fresh! It says it’s for dry hair so swap out your cheap £2 for this and get your hair back to normal! Remember there is no sulphate in this shampoo so don’t expect to get that mountain of bubbles when you try and foam it up and use a small amount of product as it goes a long way! There is also a conditioner version of this which will only set you back another £5.50 so for £11 you have a chemical free set that your hair will thank you for!

Green People – Moisturising Shampoo 200ml – £11.70

This shampoo is great for eczema and psoriasis sufferers since is has aloe vera extracts which is a natural soothing agent. This also means it’s perfect for people with sensitive skin as it will leave the scalp feeling soothed, cleaned and revitalized!

KEVIN MURPHY – Hydrate.Me Wash & Rinse 250ml – £20 + £21

My go to products that I will never change, they’re the perfect weight for my thick and dry hair and they make the world of difference. KM has a vast range of products for people with every hair type, for the fine and thin hair there’s Angel.Wash and Rinse that smells amazing and still does the job of adding moisture but without over doing it and giving that greasy texture.
